I joined Barnardo’s as I enjoy supporting and empowering young people to have a positive future and to develop their employment and life skills.  Aged 16, I started an apprenticeship at my local college in catering and then worked my way through different and interesting roles, eventually progressing into management.

My knowledge has grown over the years, and I’ve learned so much that I like to share it with others.

I am experienced in teaching; employment and skills, work-based learning and most recently, mentoring and careers. I am care-experienced and left school aged 14, so I know how it feels to have barriers to overcome.

I am really proud of what I have achieved and throughout my working life I’ve had some fantastic experiences and supported many young people into work. I’m excited to work for Barnardo’s and ready to lead this fabulous project in Manchester.

In my spare time I enjoy gardening, taking my little rescue dog for walks along the canal and going to music events in the Uk and Europe.
