Alan (Big Al) Cargill is a member of the Project Worker team here at Barnardo’s Works West.
Al delivers our B’Inspired programme in Renfrewshire, this provides 12 weeks of group work with young people. Boosting their understanding of the workplace and working towards boosting their confidence. The programme also consists of a series of work tasters to give the young people an opportunity to sample a variety of work settings.
Al also delivers Barnardo’s Fit4Work groups in north Ayrshire. This is an 8 week course, aimed at those furthest removed from work, based on confidence building and helping young people take the first steps in their employability journey, getting young people involved in team building and employability projects, and getting them out and active with trips to events and activities beyond our offices!.
Fun Fact: In his spare time Alan loves to ride motorcycles and go camping
