Tenisha Frame

Hi everyone,

My name is Tenisha Frame, and I am the Pastoral Employability Support Worker at Building Hope Academy, Barnardo’s ETS.

In my role, I :-

  • Provide one‑to‑one and group support to students who are experiencing social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
  • Develop and implement pastoral care plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Act as a point of contact for students who may be facing difficulties, offering guidance, mentoring, and wellbeing support.
  • Support students with their next steps, including future planning, career guidance, professional development and progression opportunities.

I am the support member of the Team at Building Hope.  My main role is to make sure that all of the background paperwork is in place.

I aim to greet everyone with a smile and I am always happy to help

Building Hope Academy

Over the full-time study programme our participants will have the opportunity to obtain:

Vocational training:

  • Up to Level 2 Construction Skills Qualification
  • Level 1 Health and Safety Award
  • Functional Skills or GCSE in Numeracy and Literacy

Work placement:

  • Experience working with reputable construction companies such as; Fosters Property Maintenance, Higgins Partnership, Balfour Beatty and many more

Upon completing the programme, you will have:

  • Up to Level 2 in Construction Skills
  • Level 1 Award Health and Safety and CSCS Card
  • Up to Level 2 Functional Skills or GCSE grade 4 or above
  • CV writing skills, interview techniques and problem-solving capabilities
  • Work with reputable industry employers and gained valuable work experience
  • Support and advice provided with your next steps either into an
    apprenticeship, employment, or further training

We will support you with:

  • Lunch and travel costs *dependent on household income
  • 1:1 support to maintain independent living and help to fully understand the
    challenges to help identify hopes and aspirations for the future
  • Support and advice to access help with financial management, housing, and health/wellbeing
  • FREE PPE – Personal Protective Clothing
