I work for Barnardo’s because I am passionate about helping others realise and fulfil their potential.

I first came to Barnardo’s as a sports tutor (which I still teach part time) in 2019 with a background in high performance sport and talent development. Having worked in the charity sector since 2017, I have experience of delivering a variety of study programmes and have supported people from the beginning of their education journey into future employment. I am a strong believer in supporting others to experience new environments that help them develop their social mobility that allows them to open future opportunities for themselves.

During my time at Leeds Beckett University I studied Sports Business Management as an undergraduate and then got my masters degree in sports coaching, specialising in talent development environments. At university was a competitive sprinter for the university’s athletics team, reaching the British University finals on two occasions. To this day I am still keen athlete who plays for Leeds Hockey Club and love anything to do with motorsport.

Typically found: Eating his dinner too early, having one too many espressos and discussing the most recent formula one race.
